Family and friends gathered at Villawood Nursing Home to celebrate his birthday on Friday.

Mr Chu's son, Eugene, said his father was very proud to receive congratulations from the Queen, Premier Morris Iemma, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and local MPs.
