SOME of Fairfield's most gifted youth will be revealing their talent at Saturday's WestXpress at the Fairfield School of Arts.
Organised by local film production group Rumble Pictures, the third WestXpress is expected to attract youth from all across Sydney's south-west.
Singers, dancers and filmmakers are all contributing to WestXpress, with proceeds on the night going towards supporting Australian Genies, a charity that grants wishes for youth with disabilities.
Some of the highlights of the night include the screening of short films produced by
Rumble Pictures and 9 Lives, a performance by musical group The Closet Romantics
and dance group The Skool of Nu Socks,
and a variety of theatre acts and art
exhibits.
ABC actor and director Craig Anderson will make a special guest appearance to show his support for the event.
WestXpress co-ordinator Pamela Lei is hoping a big crowd will turn out to see the talent on display.
``WestXpress is a fantastic family friendly event providing youth of Fairfield and Cabramatta with the opportunity to show the community their talents,'' she said.
``Each of the events we've had grows in talent, in community interest and in crowd numbers.''
Entry to WestXpress is $5 with bookings essential phone 0413235177.
