Fairfield School of Arts was reopened in style

29/10/2008 10:53:00 AM
AFTER a $1.1million refurbishment, the Fairfield School of Arts was reopened in style in August, with music comedy and parkour performances by local artists and resident company Powerhouse Youth Theatre.

The upgrade, funded by Fairfield Council and Arts NSW, included air-conditioning, office space on a new mezzanine level, an accessible lift and entry ramp and an improved floor layout.

Mayor Nick Lalich said the refurbishment would establish the centre as a quality theatre and teaching space.
