Children at Old Guildford Public School Preschool are taking part in a new anti-obesity program.
`Munch and Move' educates early childhood professionals, children aged three to five years and their families about healthy exercise and eating habits.
Fairfield MP Joe Tripodi said 800 preschools across NSW are taking part in the program.
``All of the research tells us that unhealthy lifestyle habits formed at a young age can carry through into adulthood, setting people up for a lifetime of chronic disease and poor health,'' Mr Tripodi said.
``But it is never too early to adopt a healthy lifestyle and through the Munch and Move program we're providing parents and early childcare workers at these preschools with the tools they need to start children off on a healthier lifestyle.''
