More than 800 people gathered to remember Doujon
Zammit in a Cecil Hills park two weeks ago and now that park may be renamed in his memory.
Doujon, whose funeral was held in Horsley Park last week, was beaten to death while holidaying in Mykonos, Greece.
Friends and family of the 20-year-old from Cecil Hills said Doujon was often at the park and it would be where they could feel close to him.
His close friend Daniel Chamoun, who created the Facebook group ''Doujon Zammit - Only The Good Die Young'' which has more than 17,000 members, said many people supported renaming the park.
''I have sent the Facebook group link to Liverpool Council to use as an online petition,'' he said.
''The council got back to me and they are looking into it but they don't just change the name for anyone.''
Mr Chamoun said he set up the online group and called for the park renaming to help Doujon's memory live.
''People can log on and pass on messages on to the Zammit family through the group,'' he said.
''But I really want to push the renaming of the park because I promised Doujon's mum I would do it.
''I told her I want to give them a place to remember him other than the place he was laid to rest.''
