Refugees are being helped to find a home as the rental market tightens and it gets more difficult to secure a property.
Nashwan Kammeh had to find a place big enough to house his wife and two children as well as his mother and two sisters when they arrived from Lebanon last year.
Mr Kammeh wasn't having much luck until his ACL case worker and property managers Resolve FM stepped in.
''We tried to find accommodation but it was very hard because we were new arrivals here in Australia,'' Mr Kammeh said.
''But Resolve FM helped us with everything from finding a place to the bond.''
Fairfield real estate agents were recognised by ACL at a recent ceremony for helping settle newly arrived refugees. The partnership has found 375 refugee families places to live in Fairfield since 2005.
It is one of the top five NSW suburbs for refugee settlement.
Resolve FM provides temporary accommodation, tenancy training on property care, maintenance and resident's rights and then assists refugees to get long-term housing.
