Weekdays until July 18 at Fairfield City Farm:

- Get crafty: 9am-4.30pm. Get creative and decorate your own animal plaster mould;

- Unusual pets: Learn how to keep and care for unusual pets, 9am-4.30pm;

- Learn about native animals: Get to know more about Australia's native animals including the koala, kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, snakes and birds.

- Fairfield City Farm will take its children's petting farm to Cabramatta from July 15 to 17, 10am-2pm. Fairfield Council will also run environmental workshops each day.

Day 1: Learn how to make your own non-toxic, eco-riendly natural cleaning products.

Day 2: Learn about composting and worm farming; and

Day 3: Grow your own fruit and vegetables in your own garden without the use of chemicals.

Karate: The Kenyukan Karate Academy in Wakeley will run introductory self-defence classes. Details: King Park

Bible school: The Lord of the Outback, July 9-11, 9am-

12.30pm at Seventh Day Adventist Church, corner of Rossetti and Mansfield streets, Wetherill Park. This holiday program is for pre-school and primary school children. Activities will include drama, craft, outdoor games and singing. Cost of $20 includes materials, morning tea and a light lunch.
