EDENSOR Park's Claudia Boubeta has enjoyed a stellar year in the aerobics arena.

The 14-year-old from Freeman Catholic College finished fourth at the Sport Aerobic Nationals held at the State Sports Centre, Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday.

She managed to secure the highest score of the tournament before deductions of 0.15 reduced her score. Marty Fotea, a trainer for the college and for Kinetic Force Fitness said: ``Claudia tackles her aerobics much the same way she does everything else in life: with relentless determination. In only my second year of coaching Claudia, it is her strength of mind, sense of purpose and willpower that has made her stand out.''

Earlier this year Claudia clinched the silver medal at the State Trials with a score of 8.20.

She followed this up with a gold-medal performance at the state championship, securing the medal with a score of 8.36.

Her level 2 senior trio teammates, Rebecca Morris and Jennifer Belen, have shared success this year.

The trio won gold at the state trials, silver at the state championships and has now followed it up with a bronze at the nationals.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
