BEN Rohrer has stamped his authority on this season's Sydney Grade competition.

The contracted NSW Blues representative was at his devastating best on Saturday, taking to the Manly bowling attack on his way to 112 at Manly Oval.

Rohrer was involved in two century partnerships, a 123-run stand with skipper Anthony Clark and a 109 run partnership with Mitch Williams.

Rohrer had earlier taken three wickets, helping the Lions limit Manly to 9-291 in its 50 over innings.

John Boulous was the pick of the Fairfield Liverpool bowlers, taking 4-56 off 10 overs.

The Lions are equal sixth after three rounds, three points behind Hawkesbury on top of the competition.

As the Lions' senior players begin to get a roll on in this season's competition, juniors in the A.W.Green Shield are still training.

Wetherill Park Cricket Club's Curtis Vella and Matthew Starr have been selected.

Curtis is a wicketkeeper batsman who plays fourth grade for the Lions. Matthew is an up-and-coming young bowler who represents the Lions in Fifth Grade.

St Johns Park resident Matt Jurman and former Marconi Stallion Nathan Elasi have helped the Young Socceroos win the ASEAN Football Federation Championship this week. The Young Socceroos beat South Korea in the final in Thailand. They won the title with a 3-1 penalty shoot-out result after the scores remained at 0-0 for the duration of the match.

Freeman Catholic College has again done well in another major aerobics tournament.

Claudia Boubeta, Jennifer Belen and Rebecca Morris competed in the Sport Aerobic Nationals held at the State Sports Centre, Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday.

Claudia finished fourth overall, while the team managed to clinch bronze in the level two senior trio division.
